INTRODUCTION

I'm Paulo Chong, engineer born in Macau in 1969, with over 28 years of experience in the engineering field. I stand out as a professional with solid performance in business management and administration, with a focus on investment and financial mechanisms, trading and commodities, representations, due diligence, engineering and construction in the areas of mission-critical infrastructure, enterprise and project management and, above all, contract management.

I have over 20 years' experience in contract management, including extensive knowledge and experience of working with international standard construction contracts, such as FIDIC forms of contract, and knowledge of Brazilian, Mercosur, Portuguese, European and international legislation.

With international experience in Angola, Belgium, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, and Sweden, as well as projects and partnerships in Algeria, Argentina, Cape Verde, Qatar, Chile, China, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Finland, India, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Libya, Macau, Morocco, Mozambique, United Kingdom, São Tomé and Príncipe, Tunisia and Venezuela, I have accumulated a vast multicultural knowledge.

Throughout my career, I have managed challenging works and projects for demanding clients. One example is the construction of Phase 3 of Equinix's IBX SP4 Data Centre, a huge investment with more than 1,000 players, which included all construction disciplines, all licensing, approvals and certifications, as well as TIER III certification by the Uptime Institute.

I am highly qualified, with a wide range of skills and competences, including leadership, complex problem solving and business management. With experience in large-scale projects, I am an ideal professional for positions of high responsibility and risk. Endowed with critical thinking and a sense of ownership, I can achieve exceptional results.
